With these seasonal trend updates help you cut through the noise of the fashion world and focus on trends that actually work in real life.
While we always prioritize classic pieces that last for years, adding a few seasonal trends is one of the easiest ways to avoid feeling frumpy.
Small, intentional updates are what keep your outfits feeling currentโnot a whole new wardrobe.
Each season, we narrow trends down to the ones that are wearable, practical, and easy to mix with what you already own.
The trends below made the cut.
Others didnโtโbecause they were too expensive, not modest or classy, or just not realistic for everyday life.

Read the next section for some reminders on how to incorporate trends into your wardrobe without overdoing it…and regretting your purchases in a few years.
How to Use Fashion Trends In Your Wardrobe
Quick reminders before we dive in…
Tip #1: Be picky with your trends
Only try out the ones you really love. Don’t just buy something because all the other moms are wearing it.
Does it fit your style? Does it make your heart go THOMP THOMP?๐
Also, can pick trends that can be added to your wardrobe on a budget.
For example, recently embroidered jeans were the hot new trend. This would have been a pricier trend to add because jeans aren’t cheap! Also, the trend died off pretty quickly leaving lots of people with a pair of jeans that don’t feel very relevant anymore.
Instead, adding an embroidered scarf or skipping the trend altogether may be a better use of your money.
Tip #2: Keep in mind that trends aren’t immune to frumpy monster attacks
Just because something is super popular doesn’t automatically make it chic and stylish.
Make sure you follow the basic rules for not looking frumpy when you try a new trend. Those rules apply to any new style that comes around!
Tip #3: Build up your foundation of essentials before adding trends
If you feel like you don’t have any basic outfits to start with, buying trends will only frustrate you. Make sure you have those basics first that will form the foundation of every good outfit.
Examples are:
- good fitting white tee
- jeans
- denim shorts
- simple, neutral day dress
When you have a good foundation, adding a trend or two to your style becomes fun and adds value to your wardrobe!
Tip #4: Treat trends like sprinkles on a cupcake, not like the batter
Your wardrobe should be mostly (70-80%) classic essentials.

Although some of your essentials may have a trendy feel to them, they are still basics that will look good for years.
Trends can be added to your wardrobe like sprinkles to a frosted cupcake to add that extra fun look!
This prevents your wardrobe from looking dated every few years but also keeps it fresh and on-trend.
You can be confident that when you incorporate some of these looks into your winter wardrobe, you will be looking relevant, stylish, and super cute!
