Why Does My Calendar Repeat Outfits or Pieces?
When the app fills a custom calendar, it tries not to repeat the same outfit, or the same top, bottom, or dress, within about a week. When it runs out of options, it has to repeat. Here’s why that happens and how to get more variety.
Custom calendars are a Premium feature.
Why It Happens
- Your closet is small for the setting you chose. With Only outfits I can make, the app only uses outfits you have the pieces for. If you’ve added only one or two pairs of pants, you’ll see them a lot. Strict: All pieces limits it the most.
- The calendar uses one closet. If you picked a closet under Filter by closet, only the pieces in that closet count.
- The weather narrows it down. Each day only gets outfits for that season. If it’s warm where you live most of the year, the app is choosing from summer outfits most of the time.
- Only one collection is checked. Fewer collections means fewer outfits to choose from.
- You’ve hidden outfits. Outfits you hide are never used in your calendars.
How to Get More Variety
- Add more pieces to your closet. Check off everything you own on the Blueprint, especially tops, bottoms, and dresses. See How To Check Off the Pieces You Own.
- Loosen the setting. Choose Broad: Top + Bottom or Dress only instead of Strict, or Any outfit from my collections.
- Use all your closets. Choose All closets under Filter by closet.
- Add another collection. You can check more than one, as long as they’re the same type (for example, all Women’s).
- Bring back hidden outfits. Tap the menu (the three lines) at the top right, tap Account & Profile, then Hidden Outfits, and tap Restore.
Where to change these settings
- When you create a calendar or add more days, you’ll see all of them. When adding days, open Calendar Settings. See How to Add More Days to Your Calendar.
- On an existing calendar, you can change the collections and location. Open the calendar menu at the top of the Calendar, tap the three dots next to your calendar, then tap the pencil. Tap Save Changes.
Changing settings doesn’t change the outfits already on your calendar. It changes the outfits the app picks from then on.
If You See a Warning Message
After you create a calendar or add days, you might see a message like “Some outfits repeat clothes within the same week.” Tap the button on the message (Try Broad mode or Retry without filter) to fill the calendar again with fewer limits.
Fixing Days on Your Calendar Now
- One day at a time: in Month view, tap the day (or its three dots on a computer) and tap Shuffle outfit. In Week view, tap the pink shuffle arrow. The app picks an outfit that avoids nearby repeats.
- The whole calendar: create a new calendar with looser settings. See How to Create a Weather-Based Calendar.
