How to Use the “Add a Closet” Feature (Organize Your Family’s Pieces or Plan a Packing List)
When you go into the Closet section of the Interactive, it will show all of your pieces by default. This will include the Women’s Collections, but will also include the Men’s and Kids’ Collections if you have those unlocked in your account.
If you’d like, you can create additional closets to organize the items in your lists.
Adding A New Closet
To put items in their own closet:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Click on Add A Closet.
- Type the name of the new Closet.
- Choose which Collection(s) you want added to the new Closet.
- You can also choose to add pieces from scratch.
- Next, decide whether you want to use the existing pieces within the Closet or whether you want to create new copies of the pieces.
- If this Closet is the only place where these pieces will exist, we recommend you select Use the existing pieces in my closet. This will move the pieces from the default closet to your new Closet.
- If you will use these items in more than one closet (for example, if you have two daughters and you want each of them to have their own closet with pieces from the Girls’ Essentials Collection), we recommend you check Use the existing pieces in my closet for the first Closet and Create all new copies of pieces for the second Closet).
- Tap Save.
Creating A Packing List By Adding A Closet
You can also use the Add a Closet feature to plan a separate packing list for a trip or vacation. Alternatively, you could use this feature to organize a maternity wardrobe as you can have pieces in multiple closets.
To plan a packing list:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Tap Add A Closet.
- Type the name of the new Closet.
- Select None (I’ll add from scratch).
- Tap Save.
Next, you’ll need to add pieces to the new Closet.
On the Closet page:
- Select All Pieces from the Closet drop down.
- Tap Bulk Select.
- Go through the closet and select the items you want to take on your trip.
- If you want to see just pieces appropriate for the weather in your destination, use the Season filter along the left-hand side of the page.
- You can also use the Category filters along the top of the page for easier viewing.
- Once you’ve selected all of the pieces you’d like to take on your trip, tap Edit Closet Location.
- Select the Closet destination.
- Tap Update.
Once you navigate to your new Closet, you will see the items you’ve added.
If you tap edit on any of the pieces in the Closet, you will see the Closet location drop-down menu. From here, you can also choose which Closet this piece is located in.
Organizing Closets For Multiple Family Members
If you own several collections, such as the Girls’ Collection, Boys’ Collection, Men’s Collection, and your own Women’s Collections, you may want to organize them all by creating Closets for each of them.
To create your own Closet:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Tap Add A Closet.
- Name the Closet.
- Select the Women’s Collection(s) you own that you’d like to be added to the Closet.
- Select Use Existing Pieces In My Closet.
- Note: You do not want to create copies because that will create duplicate entries for each of the pieces.
- Tap Save.
To create a Work Closet:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Tap Add A Closet.
- Name the Closet.
- Select the Women’s Business Collection.
- Select Use Existing Pieces In My Closet.
- Again, you do not want to create copies because that will create duplicate entries for each of the pieces.
- Tap Save.
To create a Men’s Closet:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Tap Add A Closet.
- Name the Closet.
- Select the Men’s Collection(s) you own that you’d like to be added to the Closet.
- Select Use Existing Pieces In My Closet.
- Do not select Create All New Copies Of Pieces because that will create duplicate entries for each of the pieces.
- Tap Save.
To create a Kids’ Closet:
- Tap Add A Closet.
- Name the Closet.
- Select the Boys’ or Girls’ Collection to add to the Closet.
- To create the first (or only) Kids’ closet from this Collection, select Use Existing Pieces In My Closet.
- If you would like to use the same Collection for a second Kids’ Closet, select Create All New Copies Of Pieces for any additional Closet(s) you’d like to create.
- Tap Save.
How To Purchase Additional Outfit Collections
If you want to add any collections to your Interactive account, you can head over to www.shop.frumpfighters.com and navigate to the Style Guides tab.
- When you purchase any of these, they’ll be automatically added to your Interactive account.
