How to Use the “Add a Closet” Feature (Organize Your Family’s Pieces or Plan a Packing List)
My Closet shows all of your pieces by default. You can also create separate closets to organize them, like one for each family member, a work closet, or a packing list for a trip.
A piece can be in more than one closet at a time. Creating and managing closets is a Premium feature.
Creating a New Closet
- Go to My Closet.
- Tap the closet menu at the top left (it says All Closets).
- Tap Add a closet.
- Enter a Closet Name.
- Tap Create Closet.
Filling a closet from a collection
When you create a closet, you can turn on Fill with pieces from a collection. Then:
- Under Select Collections, choose the collections you want.
- Under How should pieces be added?, choose one:
- Fill with items I already have — adds the pieces from that collection that are already in your closet.
- Create new example pieces — adds a new set of pieces with example images. Use this when the pieces belong to someone else, like a second child using the same collection.
Adding or Moving Pieces Into a Closet
- Go to My Closet.
- Check mark the pieces you want. Filters and Sort can help you find them faster.
- Tap Add / Move pieces to closet.
- Under Select Closets, choose one or more closets. You can also tap Create new closet here.
- Tap Add to Closets.
When you’re viewing one specific closet, you can choose Add (copy) to keep the pieces where they are too, or Move to take them out of the current closet.
You can also choose a piece’s closet when you edit it.
Ideas for Using Closets
A closet for each family member
If you own the Girls’, Boys’, or Men’s collections, create a closet for each person.
- For the first person using a collection, choose Fill with items I already have.
- For a second person using the same collection (like two daughters), choose Create new example pieces so each has her own set.
A work closet
Put only your work-appropriate pieces in it. When you create a weather-based calendar, choose that closet under Filter by closet so jeans and casual pieces stay out of your work outfits.
A packing list
Create a closet for your trip and add only what you’re packing. You can then make a calendar from just those pieces. See How to Plan Your Vacation Outfits.
Seasons of life
Maternity, nursing, or a new climate can each have their own closet.
Using a Closet
- On My Closet, pick the closet from the menu at the top left to see just those pieces.
- On the Calendar, choose it under Filter by closet when you create a weather-based calendar.
- On any outfit, turn on My Pieces and pick the closet from the Closet menu to see the outfit with pieces from that closet.
Renaming, Duplicating, or Deleting a Closet
Open the closet menu at the top left of My Closet and tap the three dots next to the closet.
