How to Add Pictures of YOUR Clothes to the Closet List
Once you’ve added pictures of your pieces to your closet items, you can use them in outfit flat lays and also instantly be able to see what an outfit formula looks like with your pieces.
- Note: You’ll want to first reference this tutorial, which cover tips on taking really great pictures of your pieces. This will ensure the lighting, color, and drape are as accurate and natural as possible.
We recommend setting aside an afternoon or two to take a photo of all your pieces at the same time and saving them all to your phone or computer.
Adding Pictures To The Closet
Once you’ve got all of your pictures, you’re ready to start adding them to the Interactive in the Closet.
You can do the process from any of your mobile devices, tablet or phone, but it may be faster to transfer the images to your computer and then access the Interactive from the computer.
To add a photo to an item you haven’t yet customized within the Closet:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Locate the item you want to customize.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Upload.
- Find and select the photo on your phone or computer that you would like to use.
- Tap Crop & Remove Background to remove the background and resize the item.
- The image processing is going remove the background so that it’s transparent and it layers over another item without covering it up. It will also crop the image down just to the edges of that piece so that it shows up sized properly on your outfit flat lays.
- Select the Closet you’d like the piece to be added to, if applicable.
- Add notes and/or additional information about the piece.
- Tap Update.
If you have already customized an item in the Closet and would like to add another option:
- Navigate to the Closet.
- Tap the pink plus sign at the bottom right-hand corner.
- Find the closet item you’re looking for using the search box or the Show Options drop-down.
- Tap Select.
- Tap Add New.
- Give the item a nickname to differentiate it from the item already in your Closet.
- Tap Upload.
- Find and select the photo on your phone or computer that you would like to use.
- Tap Crop & Remove Background to remove the background and resize the item.
- Add notes and/or additional information about the piece.
- Tap Update.
You can also leave the example piece from Frump Fighters in place if it’s similar to your own.
Additionally, if you don’t customize an item with a photo of your own piece, the outfit flat lay will display the default piece from Frump Fighters.
