In May I found three items for my maternity capsule wardrobe! That leaves just two items still on my list (accent colored pants and shorts).
I was so, so excited to find these white maternity jeans on an incredible sale on Macys.com. I’m glad I read the reviews before ordering… they definitely run a whole size larger than normal. I ordered two sizes just to be sure and that allowed me to get free shipping too (I returned the wrong size at my local store). I had a Macys gift card for almost the full cost ($12.72) and only paid $1.41!
I stumbled on this gorgeous crochet vest on sales on JCP.com, used a 15% off coupon and got free shipping by shipping to store.
And finally, I knew Forever 21 had beautiful and affordable geometric necklaces on stock so I hopped over there one afternoon and picked out the perfect one for $7.90. This was on my regular shopping list, not my maternity capsule list.
Since hubby needed a few things this month (totaling $16.84), I used $10 personal money to cover some of my own purchases and stay within our month’s clothing budget.
My Budget
My budget: $37.58 ($40 for the month – $2.42 over budget in April)
What I spent: $47.21 – $10 (personal money) = $37.21
37 cents under budget! 🙂

Goals for June
- Continue finding items on maternity capsule wardrobe shopping list. I only have two items left to find: accent colored pant/capri and accent colored or patterned short.
- I will also keep my eyes open for the perfect utility jacket and other completer pieces/shoes from my regular shopping list.
- Stock up on a few unmentionables 😀
