About the Liebster Award

Bloggers nominate other new bloggers and pose eleven questions for them to answer in their acceptance post. Andrea’s Questions and My Answers

Q. If you could only live in an eternal Summer or eternal Winter Summer, which would you choose?

A. I grew up in California… eternal summer please! The only thing I would miss about winter is cute scarves and eggnog lattes.

Q. Do you prefer sweet or savoury foods?

I’d have to say savoury. Mainly because too many sweets gives me a migraine. Too many savoury snacks? Never. Pass the Cheddar and Sour Cream Ruffles, please!

Q. If you had a Theme song, what would it be?

A. Since I’m a hopelessly sappy romantic, can I cheat a little bit and make this “If you had a list of Theme songs about your marriage, what would it be?” Thanks for asking! “Heart of the World” by Lady Antebellum, “Close Your Eyes” by Michael Buble, “Only You Can Love Me This Way” by Keith Urban. I can go on, but I’ll control myself. ;)

Q. What was the last book you read?

A. I always have at least a two books going at the same time! I’ve been working through “Feminine Appeal” by Carolyn Mahaney for the second (or third?) time. Love the chapter about friendship in marriage especially! I’ve also been reading my brother-in-law’s first published fiction: “Two Queens.” Before these, it was all textbooks until my recent grad!

Q. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

A. I used to be a total night owl. That changed in college when I was dating my (now) husband. He could count on one hand the number of times he’d gone to bed after midnight in all of his years in high school and college. I became a convert and have since been a devoted “early to bed, early to rise” kind of person. I may not chirp like a beautiful bird in the morning, but that’s when I rather put in the time on my blog or in the Word!

Q. What is your dream vacation?

A. Relaxation. A spa. Sunshine. Good food. All with hubby by my side.

Q. Stilettos, Sneakers or Ballet Flats?

A. Ballet flats. The adorable outfit combinations are endless. Plus I can still chase my toddler around and avoid twisting my ankle.

Q. What is your go-to recipe?

A. Mexican oven tacos, or as we always called them growing up in a bilingual home: “Tacos al Horno.” I was lucky to grow up with an abundance of authentic Mexican food. NOM NOM.

Q. Do you prefer your men bearded or clean shaven?

A. Clean shaven, please. Although my guy does look pretty hot with a full beard. Still, way cuter clean shaven. *sizzle*

Q. Why did you start your blog?

A. As a new stay-at-home mom (or SAHM, as it’s known in the blogging worldyou’re welcome), I was looking for a creative outlet, a little niche to manage, a place to connect with other moms and maybe help my family by bringing in a small income on the side.

Q. If your blog had a Mission Statement, what would it be?

A. I started brainstorming a blog with about 4 major topics in mind but narrowed it down to just one by the time I launched. It’s what I was most passionate and excited about: helping myself and other busy moms dress cute, classy, and current with little effort day in and day out. I'm learning so much as I go along!
